BIN RENTALS

There are a number of excellent reasons to rent a bulk bin. Some of the more important considerations are:

• Due to the initial capital outlay and cash flow required to purchase bulk bins, it makes more financial sense to rent a bulk bin if the bin is required for only seasonal use.

BIN MANUFACTURING

Bulk Bins are manufactured according to industry standards. Only SA Pine is used in construction with galvanized reinforced corners, load bearers and high-quality screws used to ensure that bins are durable and of high quality. Due to varying requirements, bins can be manufactured in a variety of sizes and configurations, thus solving the challenges faced by clients within their business.

Bin components including longs, shorts, bottoms, corners, bearers and load distributors can be supplied to clients for the manufacture or repair of bulk bins. This enables Boland Bins to provide better service to clients by ensuring availability of components and reducing lead times.

BIN REPAIRS

The following factors that are taken into consideration in the repair of wooden bulk bins include:

• Bulk bins are mostly stored outside where the effect of the elements, such as sun and rain, has a detrimental effect on the lifespan of the wooden bulk bin.


• Bulk bins are damaged over time by incorrect handling of the bulk bin, as well as, the nature of use, for example, the natural acids in fruit can accelerate the deterioration of bins.


• Depending on the condition of the bulk bin, it may be more financially prudent to repair bulk bins compared to purchasing new bulk bins.


• Special equipment and trained personnel are required to repair bulk bins.

PALLET MANUFACTURING

Pallets are manufactured from SA Pine with ring shank nails used to ensure durable and sturdy pallet construction. A full range of pallets are supplied including 2- and 4-way entry, reversible and non-reversible and in all sizes to suit the various requirements for containers, warehousing and stacking.

HEAT TREATMENT FOR EXPORT

We are a registered service provider at the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to do Heat Treatment on Lumber according to the ISPM-15 Protocol for export purposes.
